Überarbeitete Playstation 3-Version für Europa

Wenn die Playstation 3 ab dem 23. März in Europa verkauft wird, wird es sich
dabei nicht um die identische Konsole handeln, wie sie bereits seit Ende 2006 in
Japan und den USA angeboten wird. Die europäische Playstation 3-Version wird
eine überarbeitete Version sein. Um Kosten einzusparen, wurde u.a. auf die
Hardware-Emulation für Playstation 1 & 2-Spiele verzichtet. Stattdessen
werden ältere Spiele via Software emuliert, was Sony allerdings noch nicht für
alle Spiele garantieren kann. Eine Liste der kompatiblen Titel soll unter http://faq.eu.playstation.com/bc
veröffentlicht werden. Ähnlich wie bei der Xbox 360 soll eine Aktualisierung
dieser Liste via Software-Update möglich sein. Ein erstes Update ist bereits
für die Startphase im März geplant.
