LyngBox: Neuer HDTV-Festplattenrecorder mit automatischem Sender-Update

Aus Schweden kommt ein neuer HDTV-Sat-Receiver mit 160 GB-Festplatte und einem neuartigen Feature: Die "Lynbox" verfügt über einen Netzwerkanschluss, über den sie sich via Internet automatisch neue Kanal-Listen von www.lyngsat.com zieht. Neue Kanäle werden zur Senderliste hinzugefügt und eingestellte Sender gelöscht. Zwar bieten auch verschiedene Anbieter wie z.B. Technisat auch eine Senderlisten-Aktualisierung an, doch ist der Vorteil von Lyngsat die hohe Schnelligkeit, mit der dort Benutzer neue Sender melden. Ebenso ist der Service nicht nur auf wenige Satelliten beschränkt, sondern umfasst sämtliche weltweit empfangbare Satelliten. Anhand des eigenen Wohnorts kalkuliert die Box automatisch, welche Satelliten vor Ort empfangen werden können. Ergänzt wird das Angebot durch den "Lyngsat Guide", einen elektronischen Programmführer. 

Die LyngBox ist mit einem DVB-S2-HDTV-Tuner ausgestattet und unterstützt über einen zweiten Tuner auch HDTV-Ausstrahlungen via DVB-T, die es bislang in Deutschland aber noch nicht gibt. Die Box kann auch noch um einen dritten Tuner ergänzt werden. Den Focus legen die Entwickler auf frei empfangbare TV-Sender. Die "Lyngbox" verfügt aber auch über zwei CI-Slots für die Verwendung von Pay TV-Modulen.

Ebenfalls integriert ist eine Aufnahmefunktion. Die Aufnahmeprogrammierung erfolgt über den "Lyngsat Guide". Über eine USB 2.0-Verbindung ist auch das Kopieren auf externe Geräte möglich. Mit Hilfe der Netzwerkverbindung ist auch eine Programmierung des Recorders via Internet möglich.

Update 15.09.: Nach Angaben des Herstellers soll die Lyngbox voraussichtlich im 1. Quartal 2007 in den Handel kommen. Der genaue Preis steht noch nicht fest, soll aber im Bereich um die 600 EUR liegen.
